When you see this, post a quote from Doctor Who on your LJ

"I wish Bernard was here, but the British Rocket Group has got problems of its own."

Where did that come from? I'm sure I'd've spotted that if it was recent...

Remembrance of the Daleks: one of my all-time favourite lines from one of my all time favourite series.

That's not one I watched, I don't think. Was that 5 or 6?

McCoy - I can never remember the numbers. It was written by Ben Aaronovitch, set at the same time frame as An Unearthly Child and the first broadcast of that episode, and had the first stair-climbing Daleks, Ace hitting them with an explosive baseball bat, and the first tackling of race issues in Dr Who. It was clever and exciting and witty, and I still love it.

IIRC (and I may well be wrong), it's not quite a quote because it was actually split between two characters (the female scientists assisting the military). The younger one (I think her name was Alison) sighs and says "I wish Bernard was here", to which the older one (cannot remember the actor's name dammit chiz ect) retorts, "British Rocket Group's got its own problems."

It's a while since we played this one. You could be right. On the other hand, you could be wrong.

I think you still can't beat Tennant's

"That is enigmatic. That is textbook enigmatic!"

particularly as for years I've been using the Half Man Half Biscuit line "There's no room for enigmas in built-up areas" in my signature. ;)

I don't have a favourite quote though I recognised yours instantly.

When I used to read Dr Who Magazine readers regularly voted McCoy and Colin Baker the worst periods and then picked their stories as their favourites.

Nothing in Who to match "I used the old watch test"
